Bubblegum Lip Scrub..(My Boy Lollipop)

Mmmm....the Lush Bubblegum flavoured lip scrub is so good in many ways..
The lip scrub itself is made from castor sugar (and tastes so good) and seeing as it's Lush there is no needto worry about any horrible chemicals because it's going to be 100% natural!

£5.25 from Lush Stores or online
As the price may seem like its a little pricey, just use it before a lipstick application; as you girls out there know sometimes your lips can become dry and start peeling and tend to show up after you have put your lipstick on here is the fun solution (so just use if for that).

You barely need to use any of the scrub each time.
But there is no limit so you can use as much as you desire :)
To use the scrub you only need to take a tiny amount on your finger and then just rub it in (not to hard) like you would do with any other product used for exfoliating. Once you've applied the product and are happy with the amount of scrubbing you've done the fun part comes- you lick it off! Or you can simply wipe it off, but what's the fun in that?

It's also available in Sweet Lips (chocolate) or Mint Julips flavours
The Bubblegum Lip Scrub is available in Lush stores or online for £5.25, and it's worth every penny! Will you be trying out their lip scrub or do you have your own alternative lip therapy?

Nails Buffing Block.

Buffing Blocks are amazing. It adds that extra shine to your nails without using any Nail Polish. The shine lasts up to 1-3 weeks depending on which brands you use. Not only this but you can add things to make your nails look even more amazing, by adding cute stickers, doing the French tips etc. Below is examples of  some things you can do with your nails. You don't need to apply clear nail polish if you don't want to, however if you do your nails with look even more fab!

These nails have been buffed, and then have been coated in two layers of cream polish  over the top.

Petroleum what?

The Vaseline Pure Petroleum Jelly is an absolute vital thing for you to have lying around at home! It has been around for 140 years and used by people all over the world. It can help with relatively quick fixes and so many uses.
A few are:
1. The obvious is for chapped or dry lips.
2. If you are feeling creative you can make lip gloss with it. (Google for instructions)
3. Your nails, when they're dry or slightly brittle..apply Vaseline.
4. Can add length to you eye lashes. If you apply before you sleep for two weeks (haven't tried this)
5. Helps you insert earrings. (Rub on your ear lobe)
6. For dry skin in general, maybe your elbows?
7. Can be used as a moisturizer for acne sufferers. (it is a misconception that it clogs pores)

What it looks like inside. This pot is nearly empty, but I have already repurchased a larger version.

Taking The Chop

Sorry haven't done a post on time this week, but... I've got a blunt cut fringe! I'm still not sure if I actually like it, as it was such a shock as I have never had a fringe before not even when I was younger. Getting a fringe is a real drastic change, it really changes your appearance.

Before you book your appointment, there are some things you have to take into consideration a few are:

  1. Make sure your face shape will suit the fringe.
  2. You must have some extra time in the mornings as getting your fringe to look how you want it to does take some time.
  3. You have to get the trimmed quite often or your hair will be in your eyes all day. (You can do this yourself, or your local hairdressers should do this for free or at a really low price)
If you have decided to take the chop then some tips are:

  • You should use more eye make up as your fringe frames your eyes so you should bring more attention to them.
  • Don't over straighten them.
  • Try not to keep fiddling with them, just let your hair be, as if you keep touching your forehead, it will probably lead to blemishes and unwanted spots which is something I'm sure non of us want.

This is the same style which I have had my hair cut.

What do you think about getting blunt cut front fringes? Have you ever got them or have them now?

Hair Doughnuts.

I have had a hair doughnut just lying in my drawer for ages, not having a clue on how to use them. But a few weeks ago a friend taught me how to! I think they are simply amazing, they are so fast to do and they add volume to your hair!! Which is good for me; as I have fairly fine hair.

They can come in small or big sizes. So you can decide depending on the length of your hair, and which you feel is most suitable. They also come in a variety of colours. From blonde, to light brown, dark brown, and then black. But brown and black doesn't make a difference to me as the doughnut isn't meant to show through. But if it does show, if you have really fine hair, then the correct colour choice would be a good idea ( so it blends in).

This one is tighter and from my view is better, as it keeps your hair secure and you are less worried of  your hair coming out of place

If you have excess hair once you hair rolled your hair then you could use the remaining hair and do a plait like the picture above.

Tribal Aztec Pattern

I know winter is meant to be kind of almost over, apart from the small snow we got today..But that's no reason not to still be in the mood for wearing or using items which have this tribal Aztec pattern on them. Yes, they do have that wintery touch on them, but still good for all year round.
These particular patterns have become really popular recently. With the jumpers, bags, phone cases, socks etc.
Examples below..

Play suits (See I told you all year round)

Aussie Miracle Shine Range

I used to blow dry my hair everytime I washed it, and use heat products, so the heat was damaging my hair and it started to loose its shine. So I bought some of the Aussie products, as this is what I was recommended, hoping that I could get the shine back.

It has Australian Ginseng extract and a pearl powder which helps add shine. The range is made up of a shampoo, conditioner and of course, the famous Aussie 3 Minute. I have used the range a couple of times now and instantly feel in love with the scent. It isn't over powering like some other haircare ranges but still sweet and fruity.
